Decision on Notification Procedures for Quantitative Restrictions (G/L/59/Rev.1) - biennial
Decision G/L/59 was replaced by Decision (G/L/59/Rev.1). Pursuant to these procedures, the first complete notification obligation was due 30 September 2012. Notification compliance in accordance with the old procedures (G/L/59) can be found in G/L/223 and revisions 1‑22.
1 The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union as of 1 February 2020. The European Union and the United Kingdom had communicated that during the transition period, which ended on 31 December 2020, European Union law, with a few limited exceptions, continued to be applicable in the United Kingdom. See documents WT/LET/1462 and WT/GC/206. Since February 2020, the United Kingdom had separately submitted legislative notifications and a semi-annual report to the Committee. These notifications, reflected on the separate line for the United Kingdom, were made under the sole responsibility of the United Kingdom.

3 Croatia acceded to the European Union on 1 July 2013.
4 The notifications by the European Union cover its 28 member States from 1 July 2013 until 31 January 2020. The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union as of 1 February 2020. The European Union and the United Kingdom had communicated that during the transition period, which ended on 31 December 2020, European Union law, with a few limited exceptions, continued to be applicable in the United Kingdom. 5 In communications dated 26 May 2014 and 18 December 2017, Liechtenstein informed the Committee that, in light of the customs union between Liechtenstein and Switzerland, the notification of Switzerland under Decision G/L/59/Rev.1 should be taken to cover also Liechtenstein (documents G/MA/QR/N/LIE/1 and G/MA/QR/N/LIE/2).
