Agreement on Trade-Related Investment Measures
TRIMS Art. 5.1, TRIMS Art. 6.2
Agreement on Trade-Related Investment Measures Art. 5.1 and Decision adopted by the General Council on 3 April 1995 (WT/L/64)
Agreement on Trade-Related Investment Measures Art. 6.2 in conjunction with the Decision of the TRIMs Committee of 30.09.96 (G/TRIMS/5)
This table indicates Members who have notified TRIMs under Article 5.1; it does not indicate Members which have notified that they do not apply any TRIM inconsistent with the Agreement, as there is no obligation to submit such notifications. It should be noted that most notifications in this table were made in 1995 and that for original Members the transition periods for the elimination of notified measures expired at the end of 1999 and in some cases at the end of 2003. Thus, the list of notifications should not be interpreted as a list of measures in force.
1 The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union as of 1 February 2020. The European Union and the United Kingdom had communicated that during the transition period, which ended on 31 December 2020, European Union law, with a few limited exceptions, continued to be applicable in the United Kingdom. See documents WT/LET/1462 and WT/GC/206. Since February 2020, the United Kingdom had separately submitted legislative notifications and a semi-annual report to the Committee. These notifications, reflected on the separate line for the United Kingdom, were made under the sole responsibility of the United Kingdom.
